The Tsum Valley, located in northern Gorkha, is a remote Himalayan valley known for its ancient art, culture, and religion. The locals trace their origins to Tibet and speak their own dialect. The valley offers stunning views of mountains like Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, and Boudha Himal. The villagers are highly spiritual, with the Rachen and Mu Gompas being the most prominent. The region is rich in biodiversity, forests, rivers, and caves. The trek begins with a scenic drive to Machha Khola, Trek to Jagat, Lokpa. From Lokpa, the trek continues to Chumling, home to three famous monasteries and stunning views of Manaslu, Himal Chuli, and Ganesh Himal. The next day, the trek continues to Chhokangparo, passing Milarepa Prien Phu Cave and Phurbe, before reaching Mu Gompa, believed to be the meditation site of Buddhist Guru Milarepa. The trek then returns to Rachen Gompa, Domje, Ganesh Himal Base Camp, Lokpa, Jagat, Lapu Bensi, and Arughat, where a local bus takes the travelers back to Kathmandu.
